I'm Jack O'Neill, a final-year aero-mechanical engineering student at the University of Strathclyde. O'Neill Manufacturing is a new business based in Bellshill.

I'm starting by talking to local workshops about the small parts and tooling that cause delays: the holder that's no longer available, the fixture someone improvises every week, the prototype that isn't worth a machine shop's time.

What I can help with

• Workshop jigs, alignment aids and setup tools
• Replacement non-critical plastic parts, where you hold the rights to the design
• Fit-check prototypes and mock-ups
• Small batches once a part is proven

What I don't take on

Load-bearing, safety-critical, pressure-rated, electrical or food-contact parts.
